Built Green Colorado is a program of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver that encourages home builders to use technologies, products and practices to build homes that are better built and better for the environment. To achieve the Built Green distinction, homes must be designed and constructed based on a rigorous checklist of more than 200 features in 22 categories covering energy efficiency, materials, health and safety, and resource conservation.

NAHB Green Builder Certification
Through the National Green Building Program, the National Association of Home Builders is helping its members move the practice of green building into the mainstream. Energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are increasingly incorporated into the everyday process of home building.
The Certified Green Professional is an exclusive designation offered by the NAHB. It is designed to teach industry professionals strategies for incorporating green design and building principles into homes using cost-effective options. Certification requires a minimum of 2 years industry experience, successful completion of Green Building courses, as well as continuing education. The entire management team of Kogan Builders are certified.
