Kogan Builders’ Interior Designer
As a native to Colorado, I have had the opportunity to work in the field of interior design since graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, with a degree in architectural drafting and interior design more than 20 years ago. As a resident of Durango for the past 17 years, I’ve been very fortunate to raise my 3 daughters here along with my husband Todd. Durango is the perfect place with an awesome climate where we have come to love the skiing, biking, hiking, and river sports. Prior to living in Durango I enjoyed working with Interiors Etc., a design firm with clients in Aspen, Telluride and Denver.
Architectural design has been a passion to me since a young age; my grandfather had invented and designed a crane called the Schield Bantam that was used for mining diamonds in Africa. When I was a young girl my grandparents built a home in Waverly, Iowa that was inspired from the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The design was fascinating with lots of glass, blending the structure with the natural elements of nature.
Working with clients to design the dream home they have in mind is one of the best things about what I do. Presenting ideas and paying special attention to detail is a big part of my job. The most important part of my job with Kogan Builders is to design, develop and complete a finished home that is more than the client ever dreamed possible. The challenge in working as a designer in Southwest Colorado is to create something that is as beautiful as the mountains we live in. Working with Kogan Builders is the perfect opportunity to do what I love with some of the best builders in the country.Tracy
